Athletics 2013

On Friday Point England school had Athletics. We were allowed to wear our house colours .The house names are Tainui, Matatua, Takitimu and Te Arawa. My house colour is red Te Arawa. We all had to get ready when I got to class I had to get change. I rushed to class when the second bell and got changed. Then we lined up outside we went to the courts jumping around. We had to sit in our year group like Year 5,6,7, and 8.

When we got sorted miss Va’afusuaga said that we had to get ready to play all the activities. The first activity we did was Sprinting. I was in the first line and I was versing some speedy girls. Mr Burt had a clappeer and he said “on you're marks, get set Go!” As he shouted, we ran and I came 3rd and I made it to the next race and I had to line up where Mrs Flavell was. She had to say that who was 1st 2nd or 3rd.

The second activity was discus it was so hard because it was heavy like a giant. We had to go in groups and I think I was the first one up. I threw it as far as I could and it landed further where the park was. Then it was Rowana's turn and she came second so it was Antonias turn she came 3rd and then it kept on going.

Our last activity was High jump. When we all had a turn we couldn’t have another one because it was raining so we went inside and had morning tea and lunch. My favourite sport was High jump because I am a good high jumper and i came 2nd in High Jump. I didn’t get to go to the inter Zone because their was to many high Jumpers.I was disappointed because when we did our high jump it was raining.
