Goodbye 2014

Fair well my bloggers for 2014! I've got 6 more weeks until my next blog post. I'm gonna miss everyone! I want to say thank you to you for blogging on my blog. A rock is coming for the satellite really slowly. Once it comes and hit the satellite i’ll try and save it. YAY!!!

We are learning to be a good Pt englander by being polite,wear it with pride and being cyber smart. This is how we show to be a good Pt englander.

How to be polite is to show others your manners like please, thank you and excuse me. Why we say it because we are repeating our school and our community.

How to wear it with pride is when someone see you not wearing it with pride and they might say “ that kid goes to Pt england and there uniform looks ugly” and they are not respecting Pt england.

How to be cyber smart is when you are on your Chromebook and you're not on the right you are not thinking about what are you doing on it. You might get into trouble from the teacher.

I have been reading a story about Any Old Iron.  A man named Jeff Thomson has made lots of kind of stuff like a elephant that stands for the zoo and the giant gumboot that stands for the city out of corrugated iron. This inspired us to make art from something random that looks like something real. I choose to go outside and pick up leaves and sticks to make a volcano here is a picture of my volcano.

My Hoilday

Yay! were having a new brother or sister but first mum has to go  hospital to do her blood test  I can’t wait i’ll it comes.

Once we got ready to go I rush to the car. When she start the car we went right away to the hospital when we got there I had to look after little brother. We had to sit out while my mum does her blood test the doctor said ‘Your blood has sugar in your body make sure you have less sugar for you baby’.

Finally she finished her blood test we all wanted to go to my aunts house so we did. I rush to the door and they were watching movies so I played on the tree I felt like I was a monkey.

I felt really bored at the hospital but it was fun and cool I wish we could see the baby now.

Today in class we have been doing creative writing. We had to write a sentence about this picture. As a class we chose the sentence we liked to best and then added to it. Here is my sentence and the sentence I added to.

On a sunny day I looked out the window and saw an oak tree blowing gently.

Under the oak tree,kicked back by the beach from a view,chill going down your spine, the bright sun light on you. I lay down relaxing on my board.Then it was time to go home.

Trip To The Museum

Last week on Thursday class 6,7 and 8 went on a trip to the Auckland  Museum to learn about what kind of food did the Maori people eat and how did they kill it.

When we arrived to the museum we had a little snack to eat when we went inside the museum I saw a huge tank with money in there. we had a tour around the museum we went inside the volcano room it was so cool that we went inside this house and we watch a news about how the world going to end.

After we had a tour around the museum we had a little lunch and some air too so we went outside and had a little fun I was playing tiggy. Shavana tried to tag me on the tree it was scary.

I was so sad that we had to go back to school my favorite part was the volcano room I was so sleepy I wish we could go there again.

Did you know there are four country in Australia they are called Tasmania, New Guinea and Seram. It is the smallest continent.New Zealand is not part of Australia or it is called Zealandia.

Yesterday the whole school went to meet at the courts.We have to sit in our years I sat with the year 6. We had to dress in our house colors my house color was Te Aroha.

The year 1’s were the first one up I was cheering for my sister when my sister ran to the finish line she came 6’s but she tried her best.Then it was the year 2’s to run my sister she came third she did good it was nearly the year 6’s.

When it was time for the year 6 girls I felt like I was going to die so I took a deep breath. When we lined up Mr Burt said On Your Marks!! Get Set!! when the clapper went BANG!!!! I sprinted really fast and I came 6th,5th,4th and 3rd I felt like I was going to stop but I couldn't stop because there girl in the back I didn't want to come last. When I made it to the finish line I came 3rd I made it into the cross country team.

When I came 3rd I felt good and I hope I make it into the cross country team next year.

Use my brain, use my heart, I’m going to be cyber smart came from Mr Burt it was our Korero for this term we get different Korero every Friday.

Use my brain means if someone next to you is doing the wrong thing and you say are you allowed on that and they say yes because we have a reliever and your brain thinks is she doing the right thing or the wrong thing.

Use my heart means if your brain think that person is doing the wrong thing your heart feels worried about what they are doing on there Chromebook and you think you should do it or not.

Being cyber smart means if your heart feels worried about that person that is doing the wrong thing it doesn't mean if should do it then you might get into trouble so don’t do something wrong.

Use my brain, Use my heart, I’m going to be cyber smart is don’t do the wrong thing or else your get into trouble and it might go on your report so be cyber smart and do the right thing not the wrong.

Save and dive is my event to get into the commonwealth games in 2018. The aim of the event is to save more than 3 or 4 dummy. My game is outside a big field.

My Equipment I need to use is a swimming togs,a dummy,

a rope to tie the dummy under water.My game field needs a running line and a huge swimming pool to save lots of dummy.

I need 2 players in my game so they can vz each other they have to stand behind a line to start the game. My rules are you are not allowed to cheat in the game and you are not allowed to carry more than one dummy.

What is Netball?

Netball is a game where 2 teams play each other. They have to pass the ball to players in their team so they can score a goal.

About the players

There are 7 players in the team they all have there own position it is called Center,wing defense,wing attack,goal defense,goal attack,goal shoot and goal defense.    

What are the rules?

In netball you are not allowed to step or else you have to give the ball to the other team. When it’s the other teams ball you have to take 3 step back.

In Tongan people eat lots and lots of meats like dogs,horse,pigs and cows. In Tonga they dance really slow they put lots of baby oil on their skin so they can shiny. In Tonga they speak in Tonga or in English. In Tonga their beach has fish and shark but the shark dosen’t harm you.

Hi my reading class is learning about the II world war I hope you leave a comment. On Monday morning we went to assembly to talk about the World War 1 and 2. It was really important for the army and for Mr Burts Grandad Miss Flavels Grandad. We saw a video of the army people in the army had broken legs and arms. There were no tree’s and no plants just mud.

The Commonwealth Games was a friendly game it was a very unique. (unique means a special game) The first game was held in 1930 in Canada. There was 11 country sent with 400 athletes to play 6 different sports and there were 59 events. Seen then the Commonwealth Games had played every 4 years but not in 1942 and 1946 because the second world war. The game has changed a lot even the names and the sports they had played. From 1930 to 1950 it was called the British Empire games. Then in 1954 and 1966 it changed into the British Empire and Commonwealth Games. Later in 1970 to 1974 they changed it into British Commonwealth Games. In 1978 it changed into the Commonwealth Games and it was never to be changed.

Sunk By A Whale

In 1820 there was a whaling ship called Essex. They were traveling to the Pacific Ocean because Captain Ahab was trying to hunt for Moby Dick.

Moby Dick was 32 meters long, He bumped his head twice on the side of the ship and water started to fill the boat and it sunk. Only 20 people survived on three little life boats.

The crew was really hungry so they killed the youngest member on the ship and it was Owen Coffin. They killed him because they had no water and food to eat for 3 months. Then a ship came past them they saved the survivors.

Hi we have been learning about what floats or what sinks.

Why do some things float while others sink?

If the bottle is heavier than the water that means it will sink but if the bottle is lighter than the water that means it will float.

Deep Sea submersible

Deep Flight has wings like an air plane but it is for underwater. They have little tanks on the bottom of the submersible there are little holes on because when it goes down the water fills up the tank.They float under the water to search for interesting things.

Hi here is my paragraph about swimming I hope like it

 I love swimming! This term I had 8 lessons with some amazing instructors. They taught me lots of skills,and my technique is getting better and better. We learned to kick properly by using fast pointy feet. We did rocket arm circles to get better at swimming. (Rocket arms means to put your arms in the air to get better.) We learned to float on our backs with our fluted board on our legs “The instructor said get ready for rocket arms”. On the last day of swimming we had to do relay race,we had to get into groups of 6 we had to swim a whole length of the nice warm pool. we were all tired because it was a little bit hard. I couldn’t swim the whole way but I tried and I made it. Once we finish our relay race some free time for 7 minutes. we were all were all so exhausted we felt we felt like going to sleep. Thanks Mr Burt for paying for professional coaches to teach us.

We found out that
1.There are more girls that goes on a motor car and boys that walk to school.  

2. It token people 6 or 10 mins to go to school on a Motor car,Bus and to walk to school.
