When I came to Pt england my reading group was Jandals and I stayed in that group.

For reading I like to read with my group and the teacher I also like to  read to a buddy I like going to the library to read a book to a teacher. I am reading level is at 8 year old and I think that will stay there. My goal for next year is to go in a high level.

Witing

On Writing it’s hard and I think I’m in a low group but i’ll tried to to go more higher and I like to give writing a go. My goal for next year is to move up in to a higher level.

Maths

Maths is my favorite strategy I like working with Rowana and Juliet because they are in my maths group it is called Spheres that is the highest group.  When we finish doing our practice Activity we go on our netbook to go on our  Xtramaths when we finish our Xtramaths we go on our Maths Whizz. My goal for next year is to be keep on trying.

Topic

For Topic I made a antarctic drawing I use Tissue to make fluffy ice and I use paint for my water and my background this week we drawed some Rangoli patterns it was fun.

eLearning

For eLearning we do animation it help us for our drawing and  record and when we finish we put it on our blog. My goal for next is to go on the computer and finish my animation.

P.E

For P.E do lots of different sports like basketball,football,swimming and cricket. My goal for next is to keep doing lots of sports.

Conclusion

Athletics 2013

On Friday Point England school had Athletics. We were allowed to wear our house colours .The house names are Tainui, Matatua, Takitimu and Te Arawa. My house colour is red Te Arawa. We all had to get ready when I got to class I had to get change. I rushed to class when the second bell and got changed. Then we lined up outside we went to the courts jumping around. We had to sit in our year group like Year 5,6,7, and 8.

When we got sorted miss Va’afusuaga said that we had to get ready to play all the activities. The first activity we did was Sprinting. I was in the first line and I was versing some speedy girls. Mr Burt had a clappeer and he said “on you're marks, get set Go!” As he shouted, we ran and I came 3rd and I made it to the next race and I had to line up where Mrs Flavell was. She had to say that who was 1st 2nd or 3rd.

The second activity was discus it was so hard because it was heavy like a giant. We had to go in groups and I think I was the first one up. I threw it as far as I could and it landed further where the park was. Then it was Rowana's turn and she came second so it was Antonias turn she came 3rd and then it kept on going.

Our last activity was High jump. When we all had a turn we couldn’t have another one because it was raining so we went inside and had morning tea and lunch. My favourite sport was High jump because I am a good high jumper and i came 2nd in High Jump. I didn’t get to go to the inter Zone because their was to many high Jumpers.I was disappointed because when we did our high jump it was raining.

Manaiakalaini

On Wednesday my class and I went to Sylvia Park I felt really excited.  Then we went on the bus I was sitting next to Juliet Once when we got there we got out of the bus we went inside we saw a big Christmas tree and there was an elf stuck on the tree then we went to the movies room 13 went to the top we sat on the couch.

The Bear in the room next door

This is my story about the bear in the room next door I hope you enjoy reading it.

Once upon a time there was a little boy named Josh and he lived with his mum and dad at night he goes to bed and every  night he hears a sound and he thinks it ‘s a bear so he gets out of bed and try to catch the bear so there was no bear so he went to sleep and he kept his chocolate bar with him.On the morning he pulled out his chocolate bar and it was eaten so he was sad. On the other night he kept his other chocolate bar with him and in the morning the chocolate bar  was eaten and he was very sad.

On the night he put honey on his self because everybody knew that bear’s love’s honey so when the bear comes he will catch it.

When he woke up he heard a noise so he saw the shadow so he tried to catch it then went to his mum room and woke up dad and he “what are you do Josh” said dad I was catching the bear” said Josh dad said “go back to bed Josh there’s no bear” so Josh went back to bed and fell asleep.

Persuasive Argument

We should  have school from Monday to Thursday and Fridays should not be part of the weekend. I think this because it helps the kids to learn and learn until they get better and better and it helps us to learn and to create stuff.  Kids can learn more stuff like sport and cross county and other stuff.Kids should be going to school every day because they can go to higher level and when they go to college they will be brain.

In New Zealand we should go to school and spend time with our teachers and our classmates and we can have lots and lots of friends and when you get older and older you can have a sleepover with your friend and you can play lots of stuff at school.

I think this because so that we can learn more and more.

Immersion Assembly

On term 4  the whole class came for Immersion Assembly  It was kind of boring team 1 was foxes and they were bad they show us a movie about  the fox it was a little bit funny team 2 was talking celebration like Christmas and when you just got born and other stuff like that. team 3 was  about  pancakes miss Walters looked funny with her bow and her lipstick she looked very funny.

team 4 was about farming and the video was funny Miss Lavakula was in the movie.

My favourite part was team 3 because  Mrs Walters was so so so funny that I couldn't stop laughing.

My holiday

This is my things I did in the holidays I hope you like it.

On the holidays my mum said “do you want to go to the swimming pools” we said “yes!” “only if you clean up then you guys can go” mum said.

so we clean all around the place soon when the house was clean my brother Hala said “ mum we clean the whole house now can we go”ok go and get your swimming togs” said mum. After that we had to walk all the way because my dad took the car to work that's why we had to walk there.

Once we got there we were so hot that we just got change and went swimming there were three swimming pools first me and my brothers went to the deep side and we had a race me and my older brother Brent came as a tie and Hala came last so I went to my mum and she said lets go to the other swimming because Anna and Quincess can’t swim. Then we went to the baby swimming pool and my eyes was so sore that I just can’t rubbing them.

I liked the swimming pools because it was fun.

I didn’t like it because we had to leave.

The last day for Esther

Today in C.R.E was the day for C.R.E and the last day for the story of Esther Mrs Clack prayed for C.R.E then we sang a song it was called god love you and that the way it should be. Then we did a play it had King Xerxes and Queen Esther and haman got hanged and Mordecai.Queen Esther said to King Xerxes can you come to my party tomorrow King Xerxes said sure I'll come to the party.

In the story Mordecai heard about the letter so Mordecai gave the letter to Esther slave. Esther slave went to Esther and Esther reeded the letter and the letter said all Jewish people and children are to be killed and there property are to be taken.

Youth Town

Today the year 5’s went on a trip to youth town.  When we went on the bus it was really loud. Lots of people were talking and it gave me a headache. We saw the Sky tower it looked big. Once we went to youth Town I was excited. First we went for a swim then we had to have a shower the water was cold so I was shaking. After that we went inside the swimming pool it was warm and it was fun to. We made some art.

Today in C.R.E we learned about Esther, Mordecai and Haman. 

Mordecai saw the guards they were taking about King Xerxes the guards said ''I hate King Xerxes let's kill him'' so Mordecai ran and told Esther and then Mordecai and Esther went to King Xerxes and told that the guards are going to kill you so King Xerxes hanged them. Then a King Xerxes wanted a Prime Minister so he chose Haman and then he made a rule he said'' When I walk past go down  and bow down.

My play Reflection

Today room 13 were doing our play and i was in Michael's group we were the third one to do our play we put some chair's so it can be a bus and i was the cook so it was pretty good but i need to work on is to speak more louder.

Owl Wake's up at night, they have two eyelid’s to protect them when  dust and dirt comes. They have big eye to let them see at night.Barn owl lives on every continent of the world except Antarctica. They can camouflage to tree’s and snow.

Is it easy to say sorry to other's

Today we learned about a story in the bible.It was about Onesimus,Philemon and paul. Onesimus stole some  money from Philemon and ran away to Rome. There, he met Paul.


Paul wrote a letter to Philemon on behalf of Onesimus. Onesimus returned back to Colossae and said sorry.


I think it's easy to say sorry because he stole Philemon money and he ran away.

People can say sorry will you forgive me.

The best cross country ever!

On Thursday we had cross country we were in group’s I was in the red group when The 5 year old went they were fast at running I got hot.When the 5 year old finished the 6 year old went they were pretty good at running so the 7 year old ran and my head got hot and I was everly hot I wanted some water then the 8 year old ran my sister Anna came fourth.So the 9 year old ran and I gave them all a headstart and I ran fast as i could.Then  I came 3th.

When I went through the Park the year 8 people was cheering so ran and ran and Miss Lavakula took a photo of me and I finally had a drink of water and I went to Miss Lavakula I told Miss that I came Third and Miss was proud of me that I came Third so I was muddy but I didn’t care so I watched the big kid’s doing their run they had to do 3 lap’s that will take forever to run.

I felt happy and hot.I enjoyed coming Third and I didn’t enjoy is it was hot. What I hope to do better next time is trying my best.

This story is about a girl kissing a frog her mother read a story about a princess who kissed a frog and the frog turn into a handsome prince and they got married and they lived happily after Holly face I’ll never kiss a frog.so Holly mother kissed her goodnight.Thenext day Holly got bored and Bindi was too small play with. so she I’ll go and swim in my swimming pool but you don’t have any swimming pool said Holly mother. so she went and played on sandpit and she saw a frog and she tried to shoo it away but couldn't so she sat down and she think she wasn’t scared of frogs Holly looked hard at the frog Maybe it was worth a try so she kissed the frog and it turn into a yuy prince.  The end   

C.R.E

Mrs Clark comes into our classroom every Tuesday after school. We have learned lots of different things like: songs and stories.    

I have learned about Jesus I even won a prize a it was a bar.  

This story is about a fox and a crocodile they were friends

fox went to crocodile to ask if she can lend her tongue because my tongue is too small and ugly and your tongue is long and beautiful and very good for singing. fox sang at the wedding and everyone was amazed at beauty of her voice She never heard such beautiful singing fox had. When the wedding was over fox went back home to crocodile and she forgot her promise so she made her a home to live in and that is why the crocodile has no tongue.

There was two boys there name were Jack and Luke. Luke said Hey Jack there’s free juice outside the storeroom you should come and get some so Jack went and get one and Jack saw people taking some and Luke said to Jack come on and get some juice.

Kelly Tarltons Trip

“Yay we have a trip to Kelly Tarlton’s”. When I got inside room 13 I saw room 13 sitting down and I was so nervous that we were going to Kelly Tarlton’s. Because it was going to be cool.Then I rushed to get my netbook.Room 13 was at the hall and I saw lots of classroom coming. There were rm14,17 and 16. After that we got in the bus and there was too many people talking they were noise to. When we got out of the bus we walk inside and when we got inside the hallway the light was blue and  it looked like we were in the sea.

After that  we went inside a blue door and we put our bags down next to the wall. And  when we sat down  Janice was talking about  penguins she said if a male gentoo penguin gives a small rock to a female gentoo penguin and if she picks it up that means they are engaged.And the male gentoo makes a home to live in with the female gentoo.And when the male gentoo goes away another male gentoo penguin comes and get the small rock and we other male come he says were my small rock I just put it here.

The sun was shining brightly in the sky.As we walked to the park.My friends and I soared high into the sky,as we played  on the  Octopus.I didn’t get a turn because people were hogging it. The tall wet grass was so wet that our shoes and socks were squished and soggy. When we finished playing on the playground we went inside Kelly Tarltons again.

and there were lot’s of stairs and people was shouting and being silly so Miss Lavakula said “WHO WAS BEING SILLY THEY CAN GO BACK TO SCHOOL!”. So we walked quietly and I said to harlem “ look it looks like water “. I saw a barrel and when I put my hand and touched it, it was cold ice. It made my hands cold and numb. While we  walked around, we saw lots of penguin and when they went past me I was scared. After that we went into this tunnel and it made me dizzy and we went to look at some sting ray it look cool but didn’t take a photo of a sting ray.

    

My favorite part was the tunnel because it made  me dizzy and scott hut because it was scary as well.  I felt happy, dizzy and scary.
